Health Connect

Health Connect is Android's shared store for health data. Fitbit, Garmin, Samsung Health, Pixel Watch and many scales write to it, and this app reads from it.

Turning it on

1. Go to Health → Setup.
2. Switch on the data you want: resting heart rate, heart-rate variability, sleep, steps, weight, body fat, calories and so on. Everything is off until you choose.
3. Tap Connect and allow access in Health Connect.

The app reads up to a year of history the first time, then keeps it up to date. It never writes to Health Connect.

Where the data shows up

• Health → Overview: today's numbers and 30-day trends
• Health → Trends and Body: longer charts, and weight and body composition
• Readiness and the Weekly report: see those pages

Missing data?

Check that your watch's own app is set to share with Health Connect. In Health Connect, open App permissions, pick your watch app and allow the data types. Then tap Sync now in this app.
